About Christina

Christina (she/her) is firmly planted in the belief that movement is healing in body and in mind. It’s this message she hopes to spread into the community; movement should and can be accessible to all. She is currently living with chronic illness, and understands and appreciates how special it is to have the ability to move ones body every day.

Christina strives to create an environment that welcomes every human and all skill levels whether you're a curious beginner, or a long-time barre/pilates enthusiast. She promotes not just physical strength, but internal strength, helping to build confidence so you can be your best self! Each class is meant to energize the soul and revitalize the body. She uses hands-on adjustments to reinforce proper form/alignment, and provide those with sensitivities/injuries a little help along the way, or challenge those who seek it.

She does not push uncomfortable boundaries, yell, or enforce negative fitness messages. Every human is unique, and while knowledgable of movement practice, she encourages students to listen to their own body cues as we are all in different phases of life-- and you know your body best!

Christina has over 4 years of teaching experience and completed her 120+ hour certification under the Barre & Soul Academy, training in a Lotte Berk-based barre method (the most authentic form of barre). She is currently obtaining her pilates licensure under the BarSculpt program, to be completed Fall 2024.

Christina resides in Portland with her partner and their many plant babies. She loves cooking, reading, and exploring all the amazing food around the city.
